Reiki (pronounced ray-key) means “Universal Life-Force Energy” in Japanese, and is a form of therapy that uses simple hands-on (or off) radiatory energy techniques with the goal of improving the flow of life energy (ki, or chi) of a person. Reiki practitioners are trained to detect and alleviate problems of energy flow on the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels.
The astounding thing about the energy/spiritual approach to transformation is that it is just as effective at any distance (when one is trained properly to do so). This is because the Mind can connect to any aspect of Creation (in this case, You) instantly with intention and focus.
